Vintage in the Racha Region has entered active phase: as of October 3, 1080 tons of Mujuretuli and Aleksandrouli have been picked and sold in Racha Region. According to Andro Aslanishvili, head of the coordination staff, the vintage proceeds without obstacles in Racha Region.

We have the best vintage of Aleksndrouli and Mujuretuli varieties in Racha Region. The volume of harvest has increased jointly with quality. New vineyards have been arranged over the past years and this year we expect the harvest to double compared to previous years. Currently 15 winemaking companies operate in Ambrolauri Municipality, which are buying grapes at five locations.

A total of 33 winemaking companies were registered by the coordination office, Andro Aslanishvili noted.

The coordination office was unveiled on September 25. According to preliminary estimations, more than 1500 tons of Mujuretuli and Aleksandrouli grapes will be picked this year.
