According to the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili, the government has a general plan for development of Bakhmaro, which gives resort opportunity to have one concept.

“Electricity supply is underway in Bakhmaro. Also, this year will be announced the tender of water supply projects and supposedly we will complete the works next year. As for Bakhmaro as a tourist resort development, the government has a general plan of development of Bakhmaro, which gives us the opportunity to reach this resort within one concept. First of all, we should save the unique environment that is here and on the other hand to develop it as a modern resort, “- said the Minister.

5 million GEL is spent on electricity works. As for water supply, the minister declares that as soon as the project works are completed, the government will know what will cost water supply and sewerage.

Maia Tskitishvili spoke about infrastructural projects and said that their investment value, according to each project, is gradually calculated for years.
“The general plan is to conclude the concept of transforming Bakhmaro into a ski resort and now we work together with the authors of the project to define the stages of implementation,” – said Tskitishvili.
