Chinese investors plan to put about 0.5 million USD in rehabilitation of an aerodrome in village of Meria, Guria Region, Guria Governor Gia Salukvadze told Business Contract.

Military aerodrome used to function in Soviet period on the mentioned period. Guria Region is located near Poti Seaport. Therefore, it is possible to arrange an important hub in the region, Salukvadze said.

“Cargo delivery from China will take 12 days and will remain here for 10 hours. Therefore, we can organize one of the important hubs in Guria Region in terms of both cargo transportation and industrial potential”, the Governor said.
