Cheers Wines, the network of stores of imported wines in Beijing, plans to start sales of Georgian wines for the first time.
For the purpose of making Georgian wines popular, Cheers Wines will hold free tasting and presentations at its 45 stores.
Beijing residents are able to taste and buy Georgian wines at wines stores of Cheers Wines starting September 19.
Cheers Wines experts visited Georgia in September 2016, by invitation of National Wine Agency.
Founded in 2008 by Swiss father and son Tien and Claudia Maguiers, Cheers Wines is very popular network in Beijing. The family wine business history started in 1898.
Besides wine imports, Cheers Wines also conducts educational courses in winemakig to introduce various wine cultures to interested persons.
China remains a strategic exports market for Georgian wines. In January-August 2017 Georgia exported more than 5mln bottles, up 51% year on year. China ranks second among Georgian wines exports markets.
