The European Investment Bank will invest €400 million in Georgia, and the largest amount will be spent on infrastructural projects. Vazil Hudak, the Vice President of the European Investment Bank stated this on the TV program Business Morning Today.
“Around €400 million will be invested in Georgia, and € 250 million will be allocated for infrastructure construction, we want to open the Tskneti road, this is an important one. We also have meetings with the Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze and we are going to implement very important projects in the capital. It is our plan to modernize public transport and old Tbilisi, improve energy efficiency throughout the city, strengthen energy sources, and improve hydro power plants,” said Vazil Hudak.
The European Investment Bank has financed 21 projects since it entered Georgia in 2007.
