All export wine will pass mandatory tasting from January on the local market.

Giorgi Samanishvili, head of the National Wine Agency, told Maestro that it will be a step forward for the wine industry.

Samanishvili positively evaluates the amendments to the Law on vine and says it will help to maintain and improve the quality of Georgian wine.

“This change is important and it is worth mentioning that the initiative came from the private sector. No bottle of low quality wine should be exported to international market, “said Samanishvili.
