Vaziani has been awarded at one of the world’s most influential competition – International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2018, which is held annually in London.

All types of Vintage 2016 Qvevri wines presented by Makashvili Wine Cellar were awarded with medals – Gold for Mtsvane, Silver for Khikhvi and Kisi, Bronze for Rkatsiteli and Tsinandali (2016 Vintage) wine produced by European technology was awarded with commended.

Especially important is the recognition of Mtsvane from Makashvili Wine Cellar, as the first ever Orange Wine to win Gold at the IWC.

Competition assesses every wine, with so-called blind wine tasting method and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage, also each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 10 different judges.
