Georgian wine Receives First Platinum Medal in the History of Decanter

Maranuli Otskhanuri Sapere Barrel Selected (2015) has made a strong case for joining wine world royalty after a red wine from the region won one of the most coveted medals at this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards.

 

This is very first time Georgian wine received a Platinum medal in the history of Decanter, as Best Value Georgian Red with 95 points. The 2017 edition of the awards featured over 17,000 wines from across the world.

Two Georgian wines have been confirmed to have won the medals, however the list of the prize-winners will only be published within the next month.
