Salam Air, a subsidiary of Oman Air will enter Georgian market in 2018, implementing four flights a week Muscat-Tbilisi-Muscat. Flights will increase the number of tourists from Oman.
According to the Georgian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, it is planned to open the company’s representation in Tbilisi, implement certain investments and create several dozen new workplaces. The decision was taken last week by Ambassador of Georgia Giorgi Janjghava (with residence in Saudi Arabia) Oman Air And at the meeting with the Executive Directors of Salam Air and the board members.
The consultations were also held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, where, among other issues, the necessity of signing an agreement on air navigation between Georgia and Sultanate was discussed. The signature of the document is planned in the nearest future, after the procedure envisaged by the legislation.
