Last year, Schuchmann Wines Georgia got ISO 22 000 quality certificate. General director Nutsa Abramishvili shared the details of companies current projects at Business Morning.
Why was it important introduction of product safety standard?
When we talk about globalizing the competitiveness of Georgian products, we mean primarily the standards. The company Schuchmann Wines Georgia has received ISO 22 000 Quality Certificate several weeks ago based on HACCP standards. HACCP is a recognized worldwide standard and is considered as a sign of credibility. Consequently, the process is long and hard and consists of many components. The three-year process is the stages of constant audits and monitoring, which was a very interesting process for us.
What are the current year’s plans of the company?
We constantly care about providing a new product to customers. Therefore, since 2018 we will introduce “Georgian vinegar”, ie “Balsamico” . We will also continue producing grape seed oil, which we started in 2017. We think that these two products are very interesting and we want to develop at such level that we will be ready to export.
