As of October 2, the volume of processed grapes in Kakheti Region exceeded 180 000 tons. Total incomes of farmers exceeded 244 million GEL. According to Andro Aslanishvili, head of the coordination office of the vintage, “this is genuinely record figure.
At this stage, the quality of everyday sales has declined, but small portions still remain. Therefore, the vintage staff still continues operation in Kakheti Region”.
The vintage in Kakheti Region is expected to end in about 10 days. Currently, 225 companies are registered at the vintage coordination office. Grapes have been processed by 175 winemaking companies.
