Ecotourism

Ecotourism is one of the leading types of tourism in Ajara. Foreign tourists are especially interested in ecotourism while visiting the region. Diverse flora and fauna as well as abundance of historical and cultural monuments created favorable conditions for ecotourism development. There are 4 protected areas on the territory of Ajara: Mtirala National Park, Kobuleti Protected Areas, Kintrishi Protected Area and Machakhela National Park. Their diversity clearly speaks about huge potential of ecotourism in the region.
