In January 2015, a new Hotel “London Palace” was opened in Tbilisi by the Vice Mayor of Tbilisi, Alexander Margishvili and the British Ambassador to Georgia, Alexander Hall Hall. Mr. Margishvili congratulated the owners of the Hotel and addressed the invited guests. "I would like to congratulate you on the successful construction of the Hotel. Moreover, I would like to thank people in charge of managing the Tbilisi-Bristol Association for their energy and time invested in extending friendship between Tbilisi and Bristol. I do hope that the friendship between our cities will be further deepened and not only hotels, but a lot of other businesses will be opened in Tbilisi ", - said the Vice Mayor.
The event was also attended by the British guests, including the chairman of the Bristol-Tbilisi Association, Derek Pickup, who was awarded the honorary title of the Guardian of Tbilisi on the festival of Tbilisoba last year. Mr. Pickup arrived to Georgia specifically for attending the opening event. The office of the Bristol-Tbilisi Association is situated in the building of the Hotel "London Palace”.
The project of the Hotel was carried out by the "Unique Stay Hotels" company. There are 28 rooms in the Hotel. The total cost of the investment in the project is 2.6 million USD. The Hotel is located near the city center and will be open for both local and foreign tourists.
