What is the difference of your hotel?

Hotel "citrus" was opened on  April 24, 2015, in the city center, behind the parliament  in the new building… It can be said that the "Citrus" is novelty in the Georgian hospitality business. It is one of, if not the only, not branded  4*  business hotel with, standard interior and service. Among 5 room categories includes a room for people with disabilities. Hotel fully adapted, making it an exceptionally set hue. It should be noted that the hotel is managed by a world-class hotelier, Shalva Alaverdashvili, which, in turn, guarantee a high level of service. The world is familiar with the giant brands, such as, "Granati" and "Mandarini".  Striving for the perfect, high standards of services - that is the "Citrus" outstanding commitment to the management and employees.

"Citrus" has three conference rooms and despite the young age, has been hosting a large international organizations and companies. Of course, we have plans for the future, and they are increasingly linked to perfection.

Hotel is distinguished by the fact that it is located in the most protected place. It is surrounded by Parliament building, ministries and consulates. External protection of quality, not only failed to comply with, but exceeds the requirements of the standard of the hotel. Here every guest has the feeling of being protected. Internal security and defense systems, qualified, trained security guards, further emphasizes these things. Here, in the hotel guests have not only feeling of protection, but also feeling of peace. That's why our slogan is: "Peace is not only a state of mind, we create it for you" ... This phrase was told by first visitor of "Citrus" , with its exquisite English, the following words: "Peace of mind may come from within hotel Citrus surroundings will soothe you from without! " (Author Mr. John Lipton). No one can say it better ... no one can rate more competently than our guests, so our future plans for improvement, and development to justify the expectations of the guests.

What are your achievements, Rating?

For the history of one and a half year hotel can name awards only assessments from the guests. On  online sales site, such as Booking.com hotel rate is 9.0 point, despite the  400 response. You would agree, the country can hardly find a similar response rate. This year we are first introduced to the nomination and we believe that we deserve title of  “The best Standard Hotel”.

 

What problems do you see in the tourism industry?

The first challenge for the tourism industry must be regulated standards. Standard services, we're talking about, is known here by very few, who have experience in the world of overseas brands. So it's hard to talk about standards, when they are not exist. Another major problem, especially for seasonal rentals available in hotels, tax allowances. From this point of view it should be taken many steps and we believe should be shared neighboring Turkey, Bulgaria, France and the Swiss experience. Despite the fact that tourism has largest focused attention from the country's economic sectors, still stay insurmountable subjective barriers of people working in this field. . For example, until now, most of those in higher education institutions in the tourism, did not want to start his professional career as a dishwasher or a cleaner from the start. However, as they say, - the cleaners are often the best general managers in the future. Our country's culture and sub-cultures are very sensitive to the service sector. Sometimes the service is not thought as glorious but considered as shameful. It is probably typical, Georgian phenomenon, even though it can be  solved, but - hard. World markets are being distributed, and Georgia has to keep pace with it and take  place amongst the world tourism market. Our uniqueness sometimes introduces us as very hospitable, and sometimes cause the low level of service. Therefore, "citrus" is actively cooperating with educational institutions, held internships, training, lectures. We take care of our hotel, tourism and each of the tourism sphere of human awareness.

What do you think about national award – Welcome To Georgia?

We are pleased that there are such awards, the jury members appreciate all  companies success and it was approved by last year award - the worthy has won, but were presented only best nominees. Best of the best award. We're glad that you exist and we participate.

How would you summarize the 2016 tourist seasons?

The summer season exceeded expectations and was observed marked increase of visitors in the country.
