The Georgian ski resort of Bakuriani will be the first ski resort to host the first ever Ski Cross Mixed Team Event as part of the 2021 Audi Ski Cross World Cup Test that will be held on February 26-28, announces the Georgian Ski Federation. 

At the Ski Cross Mixed Team event each country will present two female and two male athletes on their teams. As in classic Ski Cross competitions, four athletes will start the race simultaneously.

About 120 athletes will visit Bakuriani this month to participate in the event.

Ski events will continue in March as well. On March 3-5 Bakuriani will host the World Cup races for the snowboard.

With so many winter events being canceled around the world due to the pandemic, our small country is hosting two class A events. Infrastructure works have already been completed and we are in full readiness", said Ski Federation President Zuka Kostava.

All events will be held according to the rules and regulations of Covid-19 protocols released by the FIS, said Kostava.
