“We Are Svaneti” festival will happen on 15-17th July in Upper Svaneti, Georgia (Chuberi and Nakra) for the first time this year. With the support and desideration of local people from Svaneti, Georgia and abroad we hope the festival will becоme part of local culture and traditions.

The festival:
- is about gathering people in Svaneti and establishing a network for long-term communication, education and future partnerships between local communities and their guests, by exchanging experience, stories and knowledge;
- seeks a sustainable way to attract people, organizations or enterprises who want to contribute to the conservation of Svaneti's culture, nature and lifestyles by developing ecotourism.

People from Georgia and around the world are gathering in Svaneti!Everybody is invited! The festival program includes a mixture of interesting and various activities, such as:

- Cultural activities: traditional and international music, dances, food and art cratfts, etc.;

- Sport activities: trekking, fishing, river adventures, etc.;

- Workshops: how to prepare Svan dishes, how to prepare Svan hat, traditional handicrafts and photographs, art of recycling, guitar lessons, etc.;

- Nature education - presentations, birdwatching, etc.;

- Presentations and discussions: how to develop Svaneti as an attractive touristic and cultural destination, Svan traditions, History of Svaneti, ect.;

- Film screening: Films about Svan traditions and culture, etc.;

- Non-formal activities: Building partnerships, sharing experience, support local people`s initiatives, local market, etc.;
