A 42 km four-line highway design works will start for Khevi-Shorapani-Argveti section of Rikoti Pass. The project will include about 90 bridges and 40 tunnels. The large-scale infrastructural project will be implemented as a part of space arrangement component of government’s four-clause project.
Total value of the project is 800 million USD and it will be financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB).
This highway will connect western and eastern parts of Georgia. It also has transportation function for neighboring countries. This is a very important section of our space development plan and we are happy we are developing these projects at high spaces”, Georgian Prime Minster told the government meeting today.
