Tbilvino Sees 20% Increase in Exports and Gains 5 New Partners Despite Pandemic
23 October, 2020

Wine company Tbilvino added 5 new partners to the export markets during the pandemic.

Shippings are systematic in Belarus and Estonia. As for the British market, the first reload with them will be carried out by the end of October this year.

As for the local market, according to Margvelashvili, the company has a 70% drop in sales since March 2020. The reason for this is the pandemic and especially the recently adopted regulations- restricting restaurants staying open after 22:00.

As one of the founders of the company Zurab Margvelashvili states with “Business Partner”, nevertheless, the company has strong positions on exports, which compensates for the loss of the Georgian market.

“More than 90% of our sales come from more than 30 countries. We are actively selling wines and we have about 70 partners in these countries. If we compare the export figures for the first 9 months of the current year, we have a 20% increase. I explain this by the quality of our produced wine. So far we have not had any delays in the production process, hopefully we will not have either in Tbilisi or Kakheti. In addition, we actively work with our foreign partners and strive to be timely and adequate. It is important for us to increase the quality of our wine every year. A measure of this is the three prize competitions held in London. We have been receiving more than 20 medals every year in recent years. The quality, reliability and demand of our wine is high, therefore, we try to increase or maintain sales despite the crisis, “- said Zurab Margvelashvili.
