European Youth Olympic Festival will be hosted by Bakuriani, Georgia in 2025. The decision was officially made on 49th general assembly of European Olympic Committees.

European Youth Olympic Festival is a continental competition for young sportsmen. First festival was held in 1991 in capital city of Belgium, Brussels with sponsorship of International Olympic Committees. First Youth festival was held in Aosta, Italy in 1993.

The number of participant countries increases from tournament to tournament and the festival becomes more and more popular. Since 2012 the youth Olympic games have been held once every four year.

The European Olympic Committee officially confirmed the candidate status of the ski resort Bakuriani in December 2018.

Georgia first hosted the youth Olympic games in 2015 and then later in February of 2020 the EOC committee, whose members visited Borjomi and Bakuriani resorts. According to the closing document composed by the committee, all governmental structures give full support to the project of Olympic festival in Georgia.

Georgian National Olympic Committee had first started striving for the right to host Olympic festival, on 30th July of 2019. Official news about this event was included in EOC (European Olympic Committees).

Due to COVID-19 pandemic the assembly was held online. The decision about Bakuriani hosting the festival was supported by all European Forum delegates.
