The 2012 Royal Reserve of Chateau Mukhrani (Saperavi) has obtained an unprecedented award in the history of Georgia: platinum medal under the category of the best Georgian Red Wine.

The company received the award at Decanter international contest that is recognized as the world’s most influential and prestigious contest.

More than 17 000 wine varieties were represented at the competition. Winning any medal is much success, while Chateau Mukhrani has obtained one of the most prestigious awards.

Under the competition rules, platinum medal is conferred to the wine that holds with golden medal and that is tasted anew in a separate category.

Before 2017 no Georgian wine had obtained golden medal
