The first Georgian restaurant will be opened in Washington DC On November 7. Easter Washington DC and Ambassador of Georgia spread the news. According to them, the founders of the restaurant are local citizens – Jonathan Nelms and Laura Dunleavy Nelms.
The chief driving force of the restaurant will be Malkhaz Maisashvili, former chef of the Embassy of Georgia. American customers will be able to taste such dishes as: khachapuri, khinkali, Satsivi, spinach with walnuts, green beans and others. The restaurant will introduce Georgian wine to guests. In addition, Georgian spices will be used during preparation. The restaurant will be designed for 136 guests and the interior will be filled with Georgian traditional elements
