GDG Group will open a winery and a chateau in the city of Vani, Imereti Region, in the summer, 2021. As the company founder Bezhan Tsakadze noted, the winery will start buying grapes in 2021.
At this stage, the company holds vineyards on 30 hectares, but local grapes harvest does not suffice for production. Therefore, the company plans to buy grapes from local residents too – about 2,500 tons of grapes. As for the chateau, the construction works are underway. The winery covers around 6 hectares of territory. The project’s initial investment value is $5 million, Bezhan Tsakadze noted.
