Georgian Airports Association to Spend 23.3mln GEL on building New Terminal in Kutaisi Airport
Georgian Airports Association has allocated 23 305 085 GEL for building a new terminal at Kutaisi Airport.
The company has already announced a tender to select a company that will finish the works in 140 days after the agreement signature. Tender proposals should be submitted through August 17.
The new terminal is located near the old one. The new terminal is considered in combination with the new project of railway. Railway platform construction project is being also discussed, Prime Minister of Georgia said.
«This is an important project and it will enable Kutaisi Airport to serve 6 flight simultaneously», Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted.
Kutaisi Airport infrastructural enlargement proceeds amid growing tourism. According to January-July indicators, passenger turnover has increased by 86.5%.
