Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili has unveiled Georgian Wine Museum Window to Georgia, which is located at top class hotel Sangri-la in the city of Yiwu, Zhejiang Province of China.
The museum exposes materials of Georgian vine and wine culture and history, as well as Georgian wine varieties.
At the opening ceremony, Levan Davitashvili noted that it is of crucial importance to enhance friendly and business relations between Georgia and China and deepen trade-economic relations.
“Georgian wine is a special product thanks to its unique properties. Wines of 18 indications of origin are produced in Georgia. We are happy the demand for Georgian wines grows in China. We hope trade-economic relations will further increase”, Levan Davitashvili noted.
The Georgian Wine Museum was created as part of a joint project by I Shiao Jun, director general for Suolun company, and Singuan Group. I Shiao Jun founded the network of Georgian wine houses in China 2 years ago.
The Georgian wine museum has opened because of unique character of Georgia wine and my deep love and respect to Georgian culture, the businessman said.
The Chinese businessman plans to open analogical Georgian wine museums in Shanghai and Beijing too, because he is sure Georgian wine has huge potential on Chinese market.
