Preparatory works for Kutaisi Technology University construction has began. Vakhtang Tsagareli, Project Manager of foundation ”Kartu” noted that meetings are being held with German side.

Currently, Munich Technical University is working on developing general plan and university concept.

According to Tsagareli, once the concept is completed, it will be reflected on architecture and construction will start in active phase by April-May.

More than 500 million EUR will be allocated for the project. University will receive 60 000 students. As for project, 6-7 buildings will be placed on Mukrani forest surroundings.
