In 6 months, 583 340 international visitors visited Adjara. 30 989 foreign visitors entered the airport in Batumi, which is 67% more than the same period last year.

Active Promotion is underway in 16 countries to attract tourists in Adjara region. TV advertisements cover 158 countries on BBC and Euronews channels to popularize the region. It has produced 4 image videos featuring marine and mining tourist products of the region, Georgian hospitality and tourist resources.

In addition, in 2017, 367 people in the service sector were retrained, and in the last 5 years, 1 637 people employed in tourism field. The Batumi Airport is working actively this year. 25 airlines operate in the direction of Batumi, including 8 – new ones. More than 100 flights are being carried out in 39 destinations in the Batumi International Airport in July.
