In January-October 2020, Georgia exported 53.371 million liters of wines worth $163.119 million.
In the reporting period, wine exports declined by 4.8% compared to the same period of 2019. Namely, in January-October 2019 Georgia exported 56.085 million liters of wines. As part of the 2020 Vintage, winemaking companies processed 175,000 tons of Rkatsiteli, 80,000 tons of Saperavi; 5,000 tons of Kakhuri Mtsvane; 2,400 tons of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli.
As for export markets: the top 5 export countries are Russia – 32.742 million liters, Ukraine – 6.451 million liters, China - 2.825 million liters, Poland – 2.927 million liters, and Kazakhstan – 1.882 million liters. This year, about 25,000 winegrowers sold grapes and their incomes constituted GEL 310 million.
