Kabistoni vine variety is restored in Racha. Sopo Samtelidze is a woman entrepreneur from Racha who returned to her native region and restored viticulture in her own village.

“Several years ago, I started to cultivate the rare and unique vine variety – Kabistoni. Currently, we make Khvanchkara and Aleksandrouli with the grapes harvested. Our wine is successfully sold both in the local and export markets. This year, we expanded production and I plan to bottle my own wine “Sofia”. With this business plan, I try to gain more knowledge.
