Kopitnari railway station will be connected to Kutaisi International Airport in the fall.

"Construction works of a railway station near Kutaisi International Airport will be finished for tourist season in fall.", noted the Minister of Economy, Natia Turnava.

The cost of investment amounts to 1,247 million GEL.

Within the framework of the project, the building of the station, including the interior and exterior will be rehabilitated. The building will be adapted to people with disabilities.

Rehabilitation and expansion of the pedestrian bridge is planned. Three elevators will be installed on the bridge.
