Georgia’s new 5 GEL banknotes, with a renewed color and size came into circulation from September first.

The front side of the upgraded 5 GEL features Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University building – the portrait of Ivane Javakhishvili himself is also be improved relief quality and volume.

New 5-GEL ones will be added to the 20, 50 and 100 GEL banknotes.
