Details of the Enguri tourist complex project are known.

The design company “Koko Architects” presented the project of the Center for Discovery of the Enguri Tourist Complex, which includes the building museum and view points.

The project also envisages panoramic lift, zipline, cable car and bus tours, as well as water sports and tunnel projects.

Head of the Board of Directors of Enguri Tourist Center Tornike Kazarashvili, Director of National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia Nikoloz Antidze, Director of Enguri Hydroelectric Power Station Joni Chania attended the presentation of the detailed project report of the Enguri tourist center.

The world-class attraction will be arranged at Enguri hydroelectric power plant, the tourist zone will serve up to 400 000 tourists annually. The government hopes that the Enguri HPP’s tourist zone will become the most attractive tourist destination in the region.

Investment volume of construction works is 50 million GEL. Nearly 500 local residents will be employed in the tourist zone construction process.

Over 300 citizens will be employed permanently through parallel services.

The full implementation of the project is 5 years.
