Number of visitors on the reserved territories rose by 32% in January-August 2017 compared to the same period of 2016 and totaled 726 296 persons.
According to January-August indicators of Agency of Reserved Territories, ratio of Georgian visitors amounted to 58% (423 528), while ratio of foreign visitors made up 42% (302 768). As compared to the same period of 2016, the ratio of Georgian visitors rose by 28%, while number of foreign visitors increased by 38%.
In August, reserved territories were visited by 227 541 persons, up 43 000 ones year on year.
As a result, in the reporting period revenues from tourism services rose by 73% to 2 956 645 GEL.
