Georgia and North Macedonia Launch Visa-Free Regime

During the official visit of the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili to the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the Presidents of Georgia and the Republic of Northern Macedonia signed an agreement "On Exemption from the Obligation to Obtain Visas" between the Governments of Georgia and the Republic of Northern Macedonia. The information is spread by the Public Relations Service of the Presidential Administration.

According to them, the agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia on visa exemption is aimed at introducing favorable conditions for mutual access for citizens of the two countries.

The agreement provides for persons with a biometric passport to be allowed to enter, stop or transit through the country without a visa.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani and the Minister of Culture of Northern Macedonia Irena Stefoska signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of culture.

'The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Northern Macedonia aims to deepen relations between the agencies of the two countries, as well as to develop cultural ties. Encourage activities, exchange information, participate in seminars, conferences or other cultural events.

The memorandum also provides for the promotion of direct contacts in various areas of the cultural field, in particular: literature and publishing, library activities, visual arts, music, cinema, theater and cultural heritage protection.
