The number of international traveller visits to Georgia recovered by 63.7 percent in October compared to the same month of the pre-pandemic 2019, the Georgian national tourism administration said on Thursday.

The statistics show last month Georgia hosted 498,477 international travellers, which is a 125.9 percent year-on-year increase. 

Over the same month, 344,595 international tourist type visits were recorded, registering an 82.6 percent increase compared to the same month of 2021 and a 78.5 percent recovery on 2019. 

Throughout the first 10 months of 2022 Georgia hosted 4,391,082 international travellers (+188.5% y/y and 54.8% recovery) and 3,048,728 tourists (+137.9% y/y and 68.8% recovery), the GNTA also said.
