Shopping malls call on the government to lift the restrictions on functioning from December 15th.
"We employ 17,000 people, who will lose their jobs if their facilities are closed. They will meet New Year in a rather difficult situation.
We want to hold intense negotiations with the government. Before imposing these regulations, they discussed the matters of point restrictions, including reducing hours and few days off, but this all changed in 24 hours and factually, we faced a complete lockdown. We acknowledge, that we have a difficult epidemiological situation, but we should be able to work. We formally submitted our offer to the government.
Our offer includes working from December 15th, instead of 24th. This will reduce the pressure on shopping malls. It will enable us to sell products and save themselves and employees from the next dead months. We also want the government to lift restrictions on movement during this period.", declared general director of GRDC Holding BV, Levan Karalashvili.
