The Number of Passengers in Airports of Georgia Increased by 47% During 9 Months

During the 9 months, the number of passengers in Georgian airports increased by 46.63%, which amounts 3 199 063 passengers.

The growth recorded in all airports of Georgia:
• Tbilisi International Airport served 2 440 067 passengers. + 41.42%;
• Traffic in Kutaisi International Airport increased by 77.82%. The airport served 324 677 passengers;
• Batumi International Airport served 157 762 passengers, + 58.31%;
• Mestia Airport served 2 900 passengers during 9 months of this year + 93.40%.

The Ambrolauri Airport has received passengers for the first time this year and has served 1,517 passengers in the middle of January until the end of September. Due to increase in demand, the flight was added to Ambrolauri airport.

The increase was recorded in terms of freight transportation. The volume of cargo transported by air was 26 458.97 tons, + 18.91%.
