300 Km Trail and Ecotourism Infrastructure to be Arranged in Tbilisi National Park
Within the framework of the project of the Government of Georgia - "Large-Scale Renewal Program", Tbilisi National Park will have developed ecotourism.
Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia with the involvement of the Agency of Environment and Protected Areas of the Ministry of Agriculture implement the development project.
The cost of the large-scale project is 6 million GEL. Within the framework of the project, in Tbilisi National Park, for the first time in Georgia, an ecotourism space corresponding to the American standard will be arranged with a network of ecotourism trails up to 300 km long and accompanying infrastructure - visitor center, 3 tourist cottages, picnic spots. Up to 200 employees will be involved in the implementation of the project, the estimated completion time of the project is 2 years.
New space created in 40 minutes drive from Tbilisi, will allow nature and hiking lovers in have a diverse and interesting trip. This project will make Tbilisi National Park even more popular and attractive. The tourism potential will increase, which will have a positive impact on the socio-economic situation of the region.
