Tsikara Museum Exhibition Opened within 70th International Book Fair of Frankfurt

Within the framework of the 70th International Fair of Frankfurt Book, an exhibition of Georgian folk tale “Tsikara” was opened with the support of TBC in Frankfurt “Struwelpeter” Museum.

Based on the wish of the “Struwelpeter” Museum – Georgian illustrations were exhibited with them within the framework of the cultural program – the National Library of Georgia announced competition for the exhibition concept. The joint idea of ​​two organizations – “Contact” and “Illustrator” was selected for the exhibition “Museum in Museum”.

The project includes illustrations, three-dimensional objects and models designed specifically for the exhibition by Georgian illustrators. Exhibits are used by Georgian traditional visual art ornaments, and the viewer is able to see the Georgian alphabet in the text section of the exhibition.

The “Tsikara Museum” consists of five zones: house, mirror, comb, sculpture stone and nine horizons.The visitor has the opportunity to travel to the fairy tale and follow the footsteps of the fairy tale events. The exhibition is also part of the children’s events and museum store.

This year Georgia is invited to the international book fair of Frankfurt Book Fair as the honorable guest country and will introduce its literature and cultural heritage to the world. The project “Museum in Museum” is one part of this great cultural program.
