Tourism sector’s revenues in the first half of 2017 made up 1.09bln USD, including revenues in the second quarter totaled 657.6mln USD, up 28% as compared to the same period of 2016.

In the first quarter of 2016 tourism sector’s revenues made up 434.6mln USD. In June the sector’s revenues rose by 43%.

In July Georgia hosted 982.487 international visitors, up 28.5% year on year. A total of 519 349 tourists arrived in Georgia in July, up 32.9% year on year.

According to Tourism Administration and Ministry of Internal Affairs, in January-July number of international tourists rose by 16.8% to 3 978 657 passengers. Number of tourists rose by 30.2% to 1 829 331 passengers.
