UNWTO Announces Competition on Global Tourism

With the initiative of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the competition will be held on global tourism, the competition comprises 164 countries.

The aim of the competition is to transform the tourism sector, introduce innovations, demonstrate new business models, including circular economy and share economy.

Giorgi Chogovadze, head of the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Avtandil Kasradze, deputy chairman of the Agency of Innovations and Technologies of Georgia, informed the public about the competition.

With the initiative of the World Tourism Organization, the project is involved in the well-known consulting company – Barrabés.biz, which has 20 years of experience in creating entrepreneurship and innovative ecosystem.

Business models for those who participate in the competition should be related to the following 4 main areas:
(Future development of the trip – the future of travel);
(Impressions in the tourism sector – The tourism experience);
(Environmental Impacts – Environmental Impact);
(Community development – community development).

Competition winner companies will be able to cooperate with leading companies in the tourism sector.
