The vintage process in the Racha region has entered the active phase. According to the data of September 30, 155 tons of grapes (Mujuretuli and Aleksandrouli) were delivered in Racha.

According to Andro Aslanishvili, head of vintage coordination HQ, the vintage will be as successful in the Racha as it was in Kakheti region.
“Today, in the Ambrolauri municipality, 18 wine producer companies  receive  grapes from local wine growers on 8 locations. Four reception points were opened in the city of Ambolauri, two in the  village Khvanchkara, one  in Chrebalo and one in Bugeuli. For the protection of variety accuracy, ampelographers are involved in the vintage process. In total there are 29 wine producing companies registered in the vintage coordination HQ, which will be involved in  grape reception “- noted Andro Aslanishvili.

Vintage Coordination HQ  in Ambrolauri  was opened  on September 25.

According to the preliminary data, this year  1500 tons of Mujureteli and Aleksandrouli are expected to be harvested in Racha.
The vintage is coming to the end in the Kakheti region, where the grapes processed and viticulturists’ revenues  have reached the record for the past 30 years: 180 thousand tons of grapes have been processed. Viticulturists’ income has reached 245 million GEL since the begining of the vintage.
