On 31 July, the event organized by the 43rd World Chess Olympic Organizing Committee and the Chess Federation of Georgia held championship with the support of “Winery Khareba” – “One Day in Chess World”.

Within the event, sports journalists and writers chess tournament was held. Chess tournament started with competition between Nona Gaprindashvili and Zurab Azmaiparashvili.

The rivals played on an extraordinary board with different glasses of wine. Each cup had a matching chess stick that was full of white or red wine.

The 43rd World Chess Olympiad will be held on September 23 – October 6 in Batumi. “Winery Khareba” is the host of the Olympics.
