Restaurant - Museum "Ethno Tsiskvili"

Tell us briefly about your company.
 
The story begins in the nineties of the last century, at a time when on Beliashvili street, now the famous restaurant area, was a real, old water mill. No one knows what fate awaited this historical relic if the current leaders of "TsiskvilJgupi" didn't choose this place for building a first-class Georgian restaurant. The name and theme comes from water mill. Architect Mamuka Chkhaidze kept the relief of terrace untouched and turned the natural waterfall and above mentioned the old water mill into a visit card of this place. The restaurant opened in 2002 and quickly gained popularity. At that time independent Georgia was making the first step in the development. If capital had to host leaders of international organizations and leaders of countries with traditional Georgian hospitality and European service standards it was honorable mission of "Tsiskvili" and for 14 years still nothing changed. 
 
What are the plans to access for the next 5-10 years, are you planning to expand your business?
 
Business started with only one restaurant, after 14 years became Tsiskvili Group -brand which unites several restaurants. in 2005 on the same Beliashvili street near " Tsiskvili" opened "Ludis Moedani" (beer's square). Group was also first who opened high-class beer restaurant for citizens or foreign guests. One of the pride of group is the eco-restaurant "Tsiskvili in Tskneti", its recently opened and it is unique as for atmosphere as well as food preparation and service. Based on market demand, Tsiskvili group, within a month will open a new restaurant in the city center, which be named "Tsiskvili in Vake". In June 2017 will be opened the concert hall, after that is planned to build the  largest festival hall of this time. The next 5 years, Tsiskvili Group plans to open a wine hotel in one of the regions and the branch in Batumi. According to our plan, after 10 years Tsiskvili Group will be international company and as a result of the diversification of the brand will be positioned on different sectors, which will promote Georgian culture, traditions and products on international market.
 
Do you have any recognition in the international and local market, certificates, achievements, etc?
 
For 14 years history group managed to take a number of honorary awards. Let's start with "Etno Tsiskvili" has the status of  restaurant-museum, from 2005 8 times became owner of the "Golden Brand", quality mark awarded it with 9.84 point from 10 point system, prestigious international site Tripadvisor considers like best restaurant of 2015 and international union of business ratings recognizes "Tsiskvili group" in 2015 and 2016 like leaders of industry. As well as in the framework of The First Awards Ceremony of the Welcome to Georgia! National Tourism Awards 2015 , "tsiskvili group" won first place for the nomination of restaurant industry. In 2015 Tsiskvili Group became laureate of well-known in Geneva - International ERA Quality Award.
 
   What do you think about national award – Welcome To Georgia?
 
In our opinion, the project Welcome To Georgia is a very good initiative. It gives businesses an incentive to the development and the project helps companies to increase their recognition, we can say it, based on our victory in this project in 2015.
 
How would you summarize the 2016 tourist seasons?
 
Based on 14 year statistic of restaurant, in 2016, the number of tourists in Ethno Tsiskvilil broke the current record. It is frequent situations, when foreign visitors book tables in advance for a few months before coming in Georgia. It is evident that "Ethno Tsiskvili" takes orders not only from the near neighborhood but also from USA and various European countries.
