Forbes: "Your Essential Guide To Kakheti: The Napa Valley Of Georgia"
24 May, 2022

Forbes has published an article about Georgia's winemaking region of Kakheti written by Breanna Wilson, travel writer "obsessed with remote destinations and finding the world's most badass adventures".

If you love wine and Georgia hasn’t made your travel bucket list yet, all I can say is – you messed up. Thankfully, it’s never too late to change that. Because Georgian wine is – and has been – having a moment. In 2021 alone, Georgia exported 107 million bottles of wine to 62 countries worldwide", Wilson wrote.

The article reads that wine-making traditions that date back 8,000 years can be found in Kakheti, from the province where about 70 percent of Georgia’s grapes originate.

Wilson says it is not just wine that draws people to Kakheti, but the region's "unique natural landscape, ancient fortresses and towers, alpine lakes, and hidden waterfalls add to the appeal".

"Kakheti is one of those places that leaves a mark on you. Or at least a hangover," Wilson notes in the travel piece.
