24 September, 2021

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between the Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air and Abu Dhabi state holding company ADQ, will begin operations at the western Georgian Kutaisi International Airport and will offer Abu Dhabi-Kutaisi flights two times a week starting December 16.

In addition, this winter Wizz Air will restore flights to Barcelona (Spain), Berlin (Germany) and Vienna (Austria) from Kutaisi airport.

Kutaisi-Barcelona flights will be carried out once in a week starting October 31, Kutaisi-Vienna flights will be carried out twice a week starting November 2 and Kutaisi-Berlin flights will be carried out once in a week again starting November 2.

After nine years of successful cooperation, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe continues to expand in the Georgian air market. The launch of direct regular flights between Kutaisi and the United Arab Emirates means that our country, specifically the Imereti region, will have access to completely new tourist markets", said Director of the United Airports of Georgia Tamar Archuadze.
