Matsoni House at Alaverdi, in Georgia’s Kakheti region, which is producing Matsoni icecream, is planning to raise the production and arrange the logistics network.

As the head of Matsoni House, Koka Kandelaki said, bringing the production to Tbilisi is planned in the nearest future.

He also said that in May lots of tourists visited the Matsoni House and the majority of them were from Russia. The peak of touristic season is expected in the first half of autumn.

‘The main part of our menu is, of course, Matsoni. We produce different products out of it and they all enjoy great popularity among tourists. The guests can also taste different kinds of dried fruits and dishes of Tushetian cuisine – Khavitsi, Kotori, Guda Cheese’, - Kandelaki says.

Matsoni House was opened near Alaverdi in 2014 and the World Bank donated 2 million GEL for this project. Currently 10 people are employed here.
