Lufthansa Names as Largest Airline Across Europe
14 January, 2019

Lufthansa Group was named as the largest airline in 2018 across Europe. Last year, the airline served 143 million passengers.

According to Bloomberg, the increase in passengers is mainly due to the addition of Zurich, Munich and Vienna routes.

According to the publication, the leading airline company has been replaced for the first time since 2004, since the French-Dutch airline Air France-KLM has always held the first position in the 2018 final ranking, followed by Lufthansa and British Airways IAG.

According to Lufthansa’s data, the passenger traffic increased by 9% in 2018.

In the case of Air France-KLM, this figure is 2.8%. British Airways’s growth rate was 7.1%
