Regular passenger train services to resume starting February 27 in Georgia

After a three-month pause, regular passenger train services will resume starting February 27 in Georgia, reports Georgian Railway.

The company reports that the routes will be resumed along the following routes:

Tbilisi-Batumi-Tbilisi

Tbilisi-Zugdidi-Tbilisi

Tbilisi-Ozurgeti-Tbilisi

Tbilisi-Poti-Tbilisi

Tbilisi-Kutaisi-Tbilisi

Ticket sales will start online today, while railway box offices will open on February 26.

An official statement released by Georgian Railway reads that the company is strictly following the Covid-19 recommendations to ensure safe passenger transportation.

Before boarding the train, passengers will undergo thermal screening and use hand sanitiser.

Passengers will not be allowed on the train without a face mask and will have to use one throughout the duration of the trip as well.

Individuals with coronavirus symptoms should delay their travel in order to avoid spreading Covid-19.
