Protected Areas Ranger Giorgi Abramishvili Among the 10 Best Rangers in the World

Giorgi Abramishvili, Senior Ranger of the Batsara-Babaneuri Protected Area, was awarded the International Ranger Award by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the World Commission on Protected Areas.

Giorgi Abramishvili has been protecting the unique natural heritage in the protected areas of Georgia for 17 years. With dedicated work, the ability to deal with challenges and risks, a Georgian ranger distinguished by leadership skills in crisis management, he won a dignified victory.

The International Rangers Award is an award based on a collaboration between IUCN and the World Commission on Protected Areas in collaboration with the World Rangers Federation, Global Wildlife Conservation and Conservation Allies.

The nomination aims to share the unique stories of the Rangers and enhance their capabilities.
