JSC "Elit Electronics" started its operation on the Georgian consumer market 12 years ago. Area of the activities of the Company covers retail and wholesale trade with TV sets, audio and video devices, home appliances, computers and cell phones.

Mission of the "Elit Electronics" is to make valuable contribution in development of successful individuals and the country, deliver advanced technologies to each family and each individual with wide range of options and at best service.

Under the name "Elite XXI"  on May 8, 1996, JSC "Elit Electronics" was founded in Batumi. At the time of its establishment the staff of the Company was comprising of only 3 members. At present total number of the company's staff is about 900.

Initially the Company was involved just in the selling of video cassettes, but later they expanded their activities  and started trade with audio and video appliances.

In 1998 fur shops were opened in Batumi. At the same time in Tbilisi was opened the shop "Elit Electronics", which is still located o the Agmashenebeli avenue. In the same year "Elite XXI" started selling of built-in and other home appliances and two branches in Kutaisi and Tbilisi were opened.

In 1998 the Company "Elit Electronics" became the official distributor of BOSCH & SIEMENS in Georgia. Among two distributors of Bosch products ,,Elite XXI" held the leading position in sales.

In 1999 another branch of the Company was opened in Kutaisi.

In 2000 the Company became exclusive distributor of VESTEL in Georgia. In the same year a contract was concluded with mobile operator company Geocell and under the conditions of the contract "Elit Electronics" became the distributor of Geocell.

In 2001 on Marjanishvili str. was opened the shop of mobile phones. In the same year central office of ,,Elite XXI" was moved from Batumi to Tbilisi.

In 2005 the Company became exclusive importer of VOGEL in Georgia.

Since 2005 "Elit Electronics" is official distributor of the SAMSUNG and at the same time exclusive distributor of SAMSUNG mobile phones in Georgia. The phones with Georgian menu were developed. On November 23 a new shop in Gldani district o Tbilisi and Bosch firm shop GTC ware opened.

In 2006 the shops were opened on the Tsereteli ave., Trade Center ,,Kidobani", on Vazha Pshavela ave., in Senaki and Zestaponi and in the same year Bosch Firm shop on the Agmashenebeli ave.

In 2006 "Elit Electronics"  becomes exclusive distributor of GORENJE and FAGOR and official distributor of TEFAL, ROWENTA and MOULINEX in Georgia. The Company also becomes the owner of the Central department Store in Batumi, where the Company will locate its Business-Trade center.

June 12, 2007 - "Elit Electronics" Corporation issues the first Georgian corporative loan bound, which was implemented by the non-financial institution and offered o the population highest annual interest rate in case of purchasing the loan bounds (in case of one-year loan bound 15,5%, and annual interest rate for three-year loan bound is 16,75%).

On June 26, 2007 the Company "Elit Electronics" was registered as the Joint Stock Company (JSC).

After winning in the tender held on June 30 2007, "Elit Electronics" received in 49 year lease period Navtlugi railway station. Like the Batumi central Department Store, here will be also located Business-Trade center, alongside with the railway station equipped and renovated according to the European standards.

For the time being the Company includes 35 shops of "Elit Electronics" (in Batumi, Kobuleti, Poti, Senaki, Kutaisi, Khashuri, Chiatura, Sagarejo, Martvili, Telavi, Rustavi, Tbilisi and other towns) and 40 dealership shops throughout Georgia.

In the field of social responsibilities main direction of "Elit Electronics" is education and upbringing of young generation, taking care about formation of their national spirit, expressed in various projects implemented by the Company.

On 24^th of February, 2010 top management of "Elit Electronics" was replaced. New management team, formed by seasoned professionals, plans to turn around financially distressed company according to a comprehensive rehabilitation plan approved by creditors. Priority is to assure smooth transition and continuation of operations, attraction of new investments and tight cooperation with suppliers.

The change was a consequence of the mistakes which had been done by the previous leadership, leading the company into inevitable bankruptcy. Running the company inefficiently, investing in high risk projects, accumulating huge debts with the following banks: Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Bank Republic resulted into deep financial distress.

During 3 months transition period, which preceded dismissal of the former director, creditor banks did their best to steer the company out of bankruptcy and improve decision making as much as possible. Though, management replacement became necessary to achieve full efficiency and transparency.

With regards to the company's current employees, the new management has managed to keep all key employees and does not plan any dismissals. The company guarantees job security and financial stability for employees who are professionals and are willing to continue working for "Elit Electronics".

The new management will make every effort to ensure that "Elit Electronics" will retain the leading position in the Georgian electronics retail market and provide best products and service to its customers
